I have always loved the hyperbolic design and typography of "midnite spook show" posters and print ads from the 1950s and 60s, the inspiration for this shirt. Sure, a lot of classic honky-tonk dark rides oversold the "shock and terror" hidden inside, but that was part of the fun.
